Christmas 2008

Sorry we are late on the Christmas update……………We had a wonderful Christmas this year! Christmas Eve my parents came to Albany and accompanied us to church. Reese’s parents and brother, Lance, came over and joined us for dinner and to watch Elizabeth put cookies out for Santa. We woke up Christmas morning at our house. It was so exciting to watch Elizabeth come downstairs and see what Santa had brought for her! We then went to the Walkers and opened presents with them. We left there and went to Ashburn and ate with my family. (We had already exchanged gifts with them the weekend before Christmas as my brother and his family went out of town for Christmas.) We then went back to Albany to the Walker’s house where we visited with them and ate dinner. WHEW! It was a long day – but we had so much fun!!!

The day after Christmas we took Elizabeth to Chuck E Cheese. She enjoyed the food and some of the games, but wasn’t interested in much else – especially not Chuck E! She was terrified of him!

First Pigtails!

Fall 2008

Happy Fall! Elizabeth is 15 months old and just celebrated her second Halloween. These pictures are from a trip to the pumpkin patch, her fall party at daycare and trick or treating on Halloween. There are also a few pictures from the end of summer of Elizabeth and her cousin McKie playing in the Walker’s pool.

Elizabeth is such a busy little girl. She is walking all over the place and loves her new swing set and slide. She babbles constantly and her favorite thing to say is “OOH OOH OOH!” while pointing at something she thinks is totally cool – which can be pretty much anything from new clothes to ceiling fans. At day care they have taught her American Sign Language. She can sign milk, again, all done, eat, please, and shoes.

Walker Family Update

Hello Everyone! Elizabeth is now 10 months old and we can’t believe it! In the past couple of months she has done quite a lot. She has lots of fun toys that she likes to play with – although one of her favorites is a big green ball. She was sick for quite a while with Bronchiolitis and we had to give her breathing treatments several times a day. Surprisingly she did extremely well with them and would sit there patiently until the treatment was complete. After she got well, Reese and his dad built her a swing in our back yard. She loves it! Everyday she goes for a swing after we get home from work. We took Elizabeth swimming in Reese’s parent’s pool for the first time at the beginning of May and she didn’t like it too much. She has since learned to love the pool and plays and splashes and really enjoys herself.

Reese, Elizabeth and I went to the beach mid May with my parents and my brother, sister in law and neice, McKie. Elizabeth and McKie are only 10 weeks apart and it was really fun to watch them interact with each other. Elizabeth did NOT like the sand or the ocean! Any time a little bit of her body touched the sand she would howl. On our last day there, Reese finally lured her onto the sand with her beachball and she was okay for a few minutes, but as you will see from the pictures, she soon realizes she’s in the sand and gets upset all over again. We are going to the beach with Reese’s parents at the end of June and we are hopeful that she will enjoy it more then.

Elizabeth is crawling all over the place and we have to watch her at all times. She will pull up on anything she can and is starting to cruise a little. She just got in one of her top teeth, so now she has three teeth! Be sure to check out the new 9 and 10 month pictures below!

8 Months Old!

Elizabeth just turned 8 months old – We can’t believe it!!! She is growing so fast and is changing everyday. Elizabeth went on her first plane ride a couple of weeks ago. Angie had to go to Dallas for business for 5 days and her mother and Elizabeth joined her. She did great on the plane – no crying or fussing – which made things a lot less stressful for Angie and her mother.

Elizabeth started full time day care at the Family Tree, which is Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital’s onsite, employee only, child care facility. Angie and I both work there at the hospital, so it is really convenient for us. She has done pretty good overall, just some crying when we drop her off, but otherwise her teachers say she does great!

HAPPY EASTER!

7 Months!!!

Hello Everyone! Here’s the latest on Elizabeth…………….she just turned 7 months old this week and she changes everyday. She now has two teeth, both on the bottom that came in at around 5 ½ months. She eats pretty much any fruit or vegetable we have given her and she loves cookies!! Elizabeth is quite the roly poly, rolling all over the floor as her primary mode of transportation. She is trying to crawl, but just hasn’t quite figured out exactly how the arms and legs all work together. Reese and I are so lucky because Elizabeth is REALLY a good baby. You see her smiling a lot in her pictures and that’s pretty much how she is all the time. We are so blessed! We recently went to our cousin Katy’s Hannah Montana birthday party at the Tifton bowling alley and Elizabeth had a terrific time with all the action and new noises she encountered. She also recently rode on the lawnmower with her Daddy for the first time and didn’t like it at all……it’s a good thing or else he would have put her to work in the yard right away! We’ll try to do a better job of updating the website in the future, we promise!!!

Four Months!!!!

Elizabeth is now 4 months old! We can’t believe it – she is growing up so fast! We went for her doctor’s visit today and she weighs 14 pounds and 4 ounces and is 24 ½ inches long. She is doing great and is such a happy baby. She sleeps typically 10 hours every night is loves waking up every morning to Mommy and Daddy. We have included pictures of Elizabeth with her cousin McKie visiting Santa….Elizabeth slept right through it! She is also helping Mommy cook squash casserole for Thanksgiving and sitting in her high chair for the first time. You will see her eating her first solid food with Grandma Marcie, it was yucky!

Reese rescued a kitten from the Jefferson Street overpass 2 days before Thanksgiving. We have named him Jefferson, so yes, we now have 3 CATS!!! Elizabeth loves Jefferson and he loves her too. You will see him in many of these pictures as they enjoy playing together.

Happy Halloween!

Elizabeth turned three months old on October 28th. On her three month check up she weighed 13 lbs and was 24 inches long. She was the cutest lady bug for her first Halloween and greeted all the trick or treaters at our front door. Angie has started her third week back at work and misses her little girl terribly; however, the grandmas are having a blast being the babysitters while we are at work.

TWO MONTHS!

Elizabeth turned two months old on September 28th. She just went to her two month checkup where she weighed 11 lbs 6 oz and was 23 inches long. The doctor said she is in the 75th percentile for weight, in the 90th percentile for length......she said she was long and lean!
